GPS-Internet Maps
We love our toys but, sometimes we just have to put them down for a while.
Recently we have been having issues with our maps to our location sites Many people are now requesting our physical address, and refusing our directions. I knew exactly what they were trying to do, and that was programing the address into the old GPS "BAD IDEA"

Same goes for marrying you at your cabin.
Some of the smaller rental companies, especially the private owner rentals have adopted this poor practice. They give you the Google map, or address for your nav system, and send you off into the wild. Judging from the directions I have been given in the past, I wonder if these companies have even verified the directions.Most Likely you will arrive alive, but us locals shake our heads and simply say,,, "How come they just didn't send them this way"
You have a 50/50 chance of making it to your location on time
I'm sorry that this area is hard on Nav. systems, but that is the nature of this area. We are a rural area with so many tiny back roads that lead to no where, which is expanding greatly.
So when I offer you a map to the chapel, I am only doing you a favor. We want you there on time, and more so with all your wits about you. So, till they come out with a better technology for around here, let's stick to our directions.
When we are coming to you. Please do not call me with only the address to where you are staying, this practice is spreading faster than the plagues of Egypt..I pride myself for being on time to your service, yet this system gets quite frustrating when I'm trying to hunt you down. So let's have some good old fashioned courtesy for each other. You have directions ready for me when you call, and I'll show up on time to serve you a great wedding. Rev. Bill
